The bee is an essential organ is its own hive - the bee works tirelessly to do what must be done. The bee’s life is a lesson in humility and equity. Each bee does the job they do best to serve the greater whole, or the collective.

This jar is thrown in two parts on the wheel, then trimmed and carved into by hand. The lid fits quite loosely, with about a 1/4" of give one either side, which is why I've discounted it.

This series is a limited run. I brush a pale yellow slip over a dark-bodied clay, then carve into each piece by hand. I will not be recreating this particular color combination, and there are under fifteen pieces in this collection.
