The Gilded Moth Planter is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip which gives a layered, atmospheric quality to its color. I carve the image by hand.
I see moths as a manifestation of the feminine, yin or receptive energy. They are connected to the Shadow and, when seen in dreams, are powerful messengers from our psychic subconscious.
Approximate 4.5” x 5”, comes with a drainage hole.
