A bobcat kitten peeks out from behind a fern, practicing her skills as a hunter. The slip on this piece is very subtly variegated. I consider these markings and imperfections as in accordance with the design and visual harmony of the piece.

This one of a kind piece is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip and hand carved into. I distress the slip, let it run, and embrace the individuality of each piece. Painted gold luster adorns the piece, highlighting the details of the image and the irregularities of the slip.

This mug holds 10 fl ounces.
