This bowl is about 7” wide at the top, and fits five apples perfectly.
The slip on this piece is very subtly variegated and the iron flecks in the clay come forth as speckled, which connect with the clear glaze and pock the surface.
This one of a kind bowl is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip and hand carved into. I distress the slip, let it run, and embrace the individuality of each piece. Painted gold luster adorns the piece, highlighting the details of the image and the irregularities of the slip.
Please note, luster is not microwave safe. Be safe when using your pieces. Hand wash only.
